Grants & Awards - Introduction

EAACI offers Educational Grants and Awards. EAACI Awards include the Clinical and Research Fellowships and the JM Abstract Awards, as well as the Medals and the Allergopharma Award which are awarded to different categories of scientists based on excellence, according to criteria described under each award category. The winners of the EAACI Awards are announced yearly during the annual EAACI Congress. Specific requirements, application and all relevant information is available from the relevant section.
EAACI offers a number of Educational Grants each year to help members in financial difficulty to cover the cost of their membership. The Educational Grant includes an online access to the journals of Allergy and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology (PAI) through the Members Area.

The EAACI Allergopharma Research Award was first established in 2000 on the initiative of Allergopharma Joachim Ganzer KG in collaboration with the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. It is intended that the award should recognise scientific achievement of young scientists working in the field of allergy and encourage their engagement in further research. Therefore, the award is open to EAACI Junior Members who have conducted their research in a European centre.

PhARF was established by Pharmacia Diagnostics in 1987 to honour the 20th anniversary discovery of immunoglobulin E, IgE, by two separate research teams; one in Denver, Colorado, US, and the other in Uppsala, Sweden. The objective of PhARF (Phadia Allergy Research Forum) is to encourage progress in allergy research, specifically through the PhARF Award, which is aimed at recognising outstanding younger Investigators.
